her husband AUSAR was murdered by his brother SET out of jealousy. set then dispersed parts of ausars body throughout the world. AUSET mourned briefly then opened her wings and flew around searching high and low collecting her husbands body parts. she found all of the major pieces of him, except for his penis. she put him back together and was able to resurrect her king for one night. even without the one missing body part necessary she ended up getting pregnant/using her magic to impregnate herself and giving birth to her son HERU, who would later avenge his fathers death by defeating SET.
